The service will be affordable and impartial enabling everyone in the community to receive a complete home energy assessment tailored to their circumstances. Our friendly and professional Home Energy Advisors will arrange to visit your home to identify how you could save money and stay warm in the winter months. They will also be on hand to provide impartial energy supplier switching advice and can advise on whether you may be eligible for available benefits or grants towards your energy bills. We will prepare an energy saving report from which you can choose the improvement that you would like us to install." Help with Energy Efficiency |

Frack-Free Community
Hanover Action is supporting the community action for a frack-free Sussex. It has been shown in Australia that if communities come together and declare an absolute rejection of fracking in their area the industry has to ultimately withdraw. We want to show that we will not tolerate these risks to our countryside, water, air and food. We are starting to gather support in Hanover for a frack-free Sussex; we are going door to door to inform people of the threats and gather support for frack-free community declarations on a street by street basis.
If you want to get involved, find out more and help to spread the word among your neighbours, contact us and we can tell you more. |
Exploratory drilling for shale oil started in Balcombe, 20 miles north of Brighton. West Sussex County Council have granted permission and the government is intent on rolling out fracking across Britain. This could mean a network of wells, compressor stations, pipelines, toxic gas flares, industrial truck traffic and possible earth tremors, threatening our unique downs landscapes, our water supplies and local food. Fracking uses a huge amount of fresh water which when mixed with fracking chemicals becomes toxic and can never be returned to the water supply.
Speaking at Balcombe, Brighton MP Caroline Lucas explained why shale oil and gas must be left in the ground, if we are to avoid catastrophic climate change: |
